White Belt Techniques

Inward Block

  1. Horse stance.
  2. Blocking arm moves in front of face with fist clenched and palm facing you.

Twisting Punch

  1. Horse stance.
  2. Punch with clenched fist, palm facing up until nearly full extension.
  3. Twist wrist to palm down at the end.

Chop

  1. Guard hand at face.
  2. Striking-hand across guard at other side of face.
  3. Step toward opponent and strike open-hand, palm down.

Forward Snap Kick

  1. Toe-to-heel stance.
  2. Rear foot comes forward to bended knee.
  3. Kick with toes bent back. Strike with ball of foot.
  4. Leg comes back to bent knee.
  5. Step back to toe-to-heel stance.

Club Attack

Attacker with a club in their right hand striking down.
  1. Step forward with the left foot.
    Raise arms crossed with right in front, left in back.
    Block attacker's wrist/arm with crossed arms.
  2. Grab attacker's wrist by turning left wrist and grabbing attacker.
    Grab club with right hand.
  3. Bring hands down in front striking attacker's leg with club.
  4. Step around attacker with right leg.
  5. Pop club out of attacker's hand.
  6. Strike attacker with club to back of elbow.
  7. Cover.

Jab

  1. Kickbox stance. (Right leg back)
  2. Punch with forward arm. (Left)

Cross

  1. Kickbox stance. (Right leg back)
  2. Punch with back (right) arm.
    Pivot at hips to bring them square to attacker.

Kickbox W1

  1. Jab
  2. Cross
  3. Forward snap kick.

Kimono Grab

Attacker grabbing your shoulders from the front pushing you back.
  1. Step back with left.
    Bring left arm over to trap arms.
  2. Bring right arm up in front to strike attacker's arms at the elbow. Bring right arm around and down to strike attacker's arms from above.
  3. Chop with right.
  4. Step back with right to cover.

Round-House Kick

  1. Toe-to-heel stance.
  2. Twist at the hips and bring the right knee up so leg is horizontal.
  3. Kick
  4. Bring knee back and step back with right.

Hook

  1. Kickbox stance.
  2. Turn left fist palm facing in.
  3. Strike while pivoting on left foot.

Kickbox W2

  1. Hook
  2. Cross
  3. Round-house kick

Inward Defense

Attacker throwing a right punch.
  1. Step forward with right leg.
    Inward block with right.
  2. Chop with right.
  3. Bring right leg back into cat stance.
  4. Forward snap kick to groin.

Rear Kick

  1. Feet together.
    Right hand set to cover ribs. Left hand high to block.
  2. Kick back striking with heel.

Knife-Edge Kick

  1. Right hand high guard.
    Left hand low guard.
  2. Kick to side striking with outer edge of foot.
    Curl toes to help position foot.

Uppercut

  1. Kickbox stance.
  2. Drop body.
  3. Turn right fist in, elbow down.
  4. Strike up, pushing up with legs.

Kickbox W3

  1. Uppercut (right)
  2. Jab (left)
  3. Shuffle knife-edge kick (left).

Crash of the Eagle A

Attacker grabbing your shoulders from behind.
  1. Step forward with left leg.
    Bring right arm around and down to trap.
  2. Bring right elbow up to strike at chin.
  3. Back-knuckle with right to nose.
  4. Cover back with right leg.

Crash of the Eagle B

Attacker grabbing your shoulders from behind. Pulling away.
  1. Step forward with left leg.
    Bring right arm around and down to trap.
  2. Strike with right using half-fist to throat.
  3. Cover back with right leg.

Crash of the Eagle C

Attacker grabbing your shoulders from behind. In close.
  1. Step forward with left leg.
    Bring right arm around and down to trap.
  2. Bring left arm around and strike head between left arm and right elbow.
  3. Follow through with right arm.
  4. Strike with right elbow.
  5. Cover back with right leg.

Double Kick

  1. Forward snap kick.
  2. Rear kick.

Bear Hug Free - Back

Attacker from behind with their arms around your waist.
  1. Step to the right, bring the arms around and down with knuckles into attacker's hands.
  2. Bring arms back up and then down to break attacker's hold.
  3. Grab attacker's right hand in a wrist lock.
  4. Step with the left foot 45-degrees to the right and then step around with the right.
  5. Forward snap kick to the groin.
  6. Cover

Bear Hug Free - Front

Attacker in front with their arms around your waist.
  1. Step forward left. Reach around with the left hand to grab the attacker's hair.
  2. Pull the hair back and strike with half fist to the throat.

Nunchuku Set 1A

  1. From start, step forward right, drop one nunchuku and spin under-hand with right hand.
  2. Bring up to right shoulder and into under-hand figure eight.
  3. Bring back up to right shoulder and jab and catch.
  4. Back up to right shoulder and jab and catch again.
  5. Back up to right shoulder and then back to under-hand figure eight.
  6. Back up to right shoulder, down to inside of right leg, around and between legs, catching with left hand.
  7. Transfer over left shoulder and hold with right hand.
  8. Step back and to the right with the left leg, executing a 90-degree turn to the left.
  9. Transfer over right shoulder and begin under-hand figure eights with right hand.

  2. Step and turn left 90-degrees
  3. Downward block with left
  4. Step forward right
  5. Punch with right
  6. Step back with right and turn 180-degrees
  7. Downward block with right
